Mobile phones have become a growing revolution. In today’s time having a cell phone is not a status symbol but a necessity. Time and again it has been proved that if someone is not having a cell phone or the mobile phone has run out of power in the middle of an important conversation with your boss or you are stuck in a severe traffic jam the results are quite problematic. With the advent of the mobile phones, day to day activities are completed much faster and more conveniently.

Numerous accessories and gadgets go along with the cell phones and are regularly updated. Digital cameras, ear phones and hands free headsets are the common accessories that are often used by the users.

I know it is very vital to keep a mobile phone today because of its various advantages but what’s the use of that particular cell phone if its battery is dead or drains power regularly in spite of regular charging. A cell phone with improper battery is of no use to the user. Most mobile phones are now fitted with Lithium Ion batteries. Mainly all the major manufacturers of the world have their cell phones fitted with lithium ion batteries. These batteries are rechargeable which can be used for a longer period of time if used and maintained accurately.

Lithium Ion batteries are a perfect choice for mobile phone manufacturers and can be designed for nearly all types of mobile phones. The users must have a proper power switch or a connection to charge the mobile battery. The battery charge can be for ten minutes also depending upon the situation. Mobile phone batteries along with the phone and substitute batteries can be attained from the cell company.

Nickel Cadmium rechargeable batteries impart a reduced amount of performance if recharged before complete discharge. These batteries have a lower shelf life and do not have high storage and memory power. On the other hand lithium ion batteries have a longer shelf life, high storage and memory power. Lithium Ion battery is very light in weight and do not need to discharge it before being recharged.

Massive research and development is taking place in the shape of numerous trials and tests to create even more advanced and high quality mobile battery than the current lithium batteries. Unfortunately it will take some time in order to achieve the desired results. At the moment lithium ion batteries are the perfect choice for many manufacturers.
